The Isong Annang Ethnic Forum, a socio-political group representing Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district, has announced its support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Umo Eno ahead of the 2027 general election.
Development and peace drive endorsements
The group cited the peace, cooperation, and development in Akwa Ibom State as key reasons for their decision. They highlighted numerous projects, including roads, health facilities, and schools, as evidence of progress under the current leadership.
At a press conference in Uyo, Mendie Archibong, the group’s president, emphasized their commitment to constructive participation in state and national affairs. He praised Governor Eno’s ARISE Agenda, which has driven interventions in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.
The group acknowledged the state government’s humanitarian efforts, including the Compassionate Homes program, and major projects like the Ibom Specialist Hospital. They emphasized that development should be measured by its positive impact on ordinary people’s lives, rather than solely by the number of completed projects.
