Satu Creative Launches Creative Sprint 2026 for Social Enterprises

Satu Creative has launched the third edition of Creative Sprint, its venture development programme aimed at helping social enterprises strengthen their business models, access funding and build industry partnerships. The 2026 edition focuses on three specific areas: Income Pathways, Heritage Conservation and Circular Solutions. This initiative is backed by a coalition of major institutions including Yayasan Hasanah, Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), Digital Penang, Malaysian Business Angels Network (MBAN) and Artem Ventures. These partners will provide participating organizations with funding, venture development expertise, market access and investment insights.

Selected social enterprises will undergo bootcamps, mentoring and workshops covering venture building, customer discovery, investment readiness, strategic partnerships and business growth. They will also be connected with entrepreneurs, investors, industry practitioners, mentors and potential funders. The programme aims to bridge the gap between ideas and sustainable operations.

“Malaysia has no shortage of social entrepreneurs with ideas that can create meaningful impact. The opportunity now is to strengthen the ecosystem around them,” said Ahmad Azuar Zainuddin, CEO of Satu Creative. “When organisations with different strengths come together, social enterprises gain more than funding. They gain access to the knowledge, networks and opportunities that help them build stronger, more sustainable businesses. That is what Creative Sprint is designed to do.”

Yayasan Hasanah managing director and trustee Siti Kamariah Ahmad Subki said long-term investment in people, ideas and partnerships was necessary to create lasting social impact. The Hasanah Social Enterprise Fund 2026, in collaboration with Satu Creative, provides a platform for social enterprises to strengthen their businesses, learn from experienced practitioners and connect with organisations that can support their growth.

“By supporting these founders today, we are helping to build stronger communities for the future,” she said.

Regional bootcamps and demo days

Applications for Creative Sprint 2026 are open. The Central Region Bootcamp will be held in Kuala Lumpur from Aug 18 to 20, followed by the Northern Region Bootcamp in Penang from Sept 8 to 10. Each three-day programme will conclude with a Demo Day, where participants will present their ventures to ecosystem partners, mentors and industry leaders. The selection process aims to identify ventures with high potential for scaling their social impact across the region.

Selected participants will have the chance to attend a session on handling complex business environments, including discussions on governance and ethical standards. The curriculum includes a module on compliance, which is essential for any venture seeking to secure long-term stability and investor confidence. This training helps teams understand the regulatory frameworks that govern their operations.
